Great Sower award to Negocios Agroforestales S.A.S. from Corantioquia on December 15, 2021, for obtaining second place among organizations that planted the largest number of trees in Antioquia’s central jurisdiction.

In the categories: Sustainable Management Index, Social Management Index, Environmental Management Index and Biodiversity Management Index.

The Autonomous Regional Corporation of the Center of Antioquia (Corporación Autónoma Regional del Centro de Antioquia), CORANTIOQUIA, recognized Mineros S.A. in the AA Category, for using differentiating elements in environmental management within its productive processes, promoting the implementation of environmental regulations in effect, and for being committed to the environmental sustainability goals in the jurisdiction of Corantioquia.
The implementation of sustainable consumption and production programs, efficient resource management and reduction of waste generation were the criteria evaluated. These also included application of the circular economy concept.

Continuity in the PINE (Strategic Project of National Interest, for its acronym in Spanish) category granted by the Ministry of Mines and the Competitiveness Advisory Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, on December, 2019, with continuity until December, 2020.

Fourth place in the General Ranking in Colombia according to the Sector Study carried out by the magazine Brújula Minera, in October 2021.

Antioquia’s Social Mining Seal awarded to Mineros Aluvial S.A.S. BIC, in the “Large Scale Mining Project” category, presented by the Secretariat of Mines of the Government of Antioquia, on December 2, 2020.

Silver in the Private Companies category. An acknowledgement awarded by the Fundación Iberoamericana de la Calidad (FUNDIBEQ, for the Spanish original). Public and private institutions throughout Latin America participated in the process.

MINEROS won “Best Environmental Performance” in the “Other Sectors of the National Economy” category, awarded by the National Association of Public Utilities and Communications (ANDESCO, for the Spanish original). This award acknowledges the efforts of Colombian organizations in Corporate Social Responsibility, bringing together environmental, social and economic aspects inherent to sustainable development.

Fundación Siembra Colombia granted Mineros with the Gold “2013 Sustainable Management Award” for the Company’s good environmental practices in its areas of influence, by carrying out projects that not only benefit the communities, but also directly involve them in the creation, implementation and control of different alternatives for sustainable development in the region.

Awarded by Corporación Calidad with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of the Colombian Presidency to acknowledge the quality of the processes the Company carries out in its mining operations in the Bajo Cauca Antioquia region.

Fundación Siembra Colombia awarded Mineros with the Gold “2013 Environmental Responsibility” Award for its River Turtle Conservation and Management Program” carried out in the lower basin of the Nechí River (Bajo Cauca region in Antioquia). The program aims for the conservation of this endangered species, by actively engaging the community in this project’s development

The Medellín Mayor’s Office and the Departmental Government of Antioquia awarded Mineros the Corporate Transparency Award in the “Corporate Social Responsibility” category.

The Colombian Presidency, through the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, awarded Mineros this acknowledgement for the quality of all its processes, both in operations, as well as social and environmental responsibility.

Through its corporate social responsibility program called “Britcham Lazos”, The British and Colombian Chamber of Commerce granted Mineros the
Best Environmental Practices award to acknowledge the Company’s environmental actions and strategies carried out for the benefit of the communities in its area of influence.

The Secretary of Mines of the Departmental Government of Antioquia and Corporación Calidad granted Mineros this award for its outstanding performance in its daily operations and management, as well as its responsible mining processes. The award used a global approach that assessed the ethical, environmental, community and labor aspects promoted by the Company.

Fundación Siembra Colombia granted Mineros with Silver “2011 Environmental Responsibility Award” in Research and Projects, for its “Agroforestry plots of land: seeds of local development in the municipalities of El Bagre and Zaragoza, Antioquia” program. This idea has become a model for agricultural development throughout Colombia thanks to the excellent results achieved since its implementation.

Fundación Siembra Colombia and the British Embassy granted Mineros the “2010 Environmental Responsibility” award in the Environmental Recovery Responsibility category, for the “MINEROS S.A., a Model of Social Responsibility in Mining with Emphasis on Environmental Recovery and Offsetting” project.
