Overview
According to OECD, sustainability consists of using economic development to promote a fair society and respect for the ecosystems and natural resources.
The main principle of sustainable development is the link between this generation’s well-being and that of future generations.
As part of our mining activity, we understand sustainability as a set of actions we need to carry out in the region to contribute to the responsible use of natural resources and to the improvement of social conditions and economic growth, so that they satisfactorily contribute to satisfying the needs of current and future generations.
Contribute to economic growth, the responsible use of natural resources, respect for human rights, and improve quality of life and overall wellbeing, in the regions where we operate.
The following are the fundamental principles of the sustainability policy:
Create and strengthen material, economic, environmental and social conditions in the region for the well-being of current and future inhabitants, as part of the necessary balance between economic growth and responsible use of the environmental resources.
